EU Tariff Increases

As of 6/22/18 the latest EU tariff increases are officially documented here:

The tariffs are classified as Annex I, and Annex II:

• Annex I, which sets out the products on which the EU will apply additional tariffs of 10% or 25% from 22 June 2018. This is in response to the US increase in tariffs of 25% on imports of certain steel products.
• Annex II, which sets out the products on which the EU will impose maximum tariffs of 10%, 25%, 35% or 50% from 1 June 2021 or after a successful WTO dispute, whichever is sooner. This is in response to the US increase in tariffs of 10% on imports of certain aluminium products and of 25% on imports of certain other steel products.

The complex legalese saying this is contained in section 3, on page 2, of the WTO document linked above.

We code 8543709099 to classify The Silver Bullet, which is part of the Annex II list. If the Annex II tariffs go into effect on June 1, 2021 or after a successful WTO ruling (which hasn't yet occurred from my understanding), then an additional 25% duty will be levied on products classified as 85437090. 

Basically we all just need to keep our eye on this. Pro audio gear is not yet being affected, but could be if the situation continues to go south between the U.S. and EU.

A customer from France has indicated that they paid 463€ to French customs for their Silver Bullet.
